Merry Christmas Gift Bag
I love giving gifts in hand made gift bags and wanted to create something special. Using a variety of stamps and stencils, it's easy and fun to create the perfect gift bags.
Using a white gift bag, I inked The Crafter's Workshop Vineyard stencil with ColorBox Crafter's Ink for Ann Butler in Evergreen. The large sized stencil make it possible to ink the entire bag without moving the stencil.
Thanks for stopping by today.
Merry Christmas.

Color Burst Christmas Tree Card
Hi! Dana here sharing a fun holiday card today. I had a lot of fun with my favorite Susan K. Weckesser Color Burst patterned paper. I have once again cut the colorful circles from the paper, slightly distressed the edges, and used them to form a tree.
I used the Susan K. Weckesser Live In Color Stencil with Clearsnap Smooch to add sparkly yellow garland to the tree. I stamped some washi designs onto the tree and around the border of the card using the Susan K. Weckesser ABC.123.Washi Stamp Set.
I cut the sentiment from a piece of Susan K. Weckesser Live, Love, Create patterned paper.
Thanks for stopping by today!

Living With the “C” Word
“Expose yourself to your deepest fear; after that, fear has no power, and the fear of freedom shrinks and vanishes. You are free.”
― Jim Morrison
Oh my friends, what a week I have had. I am full of so many emotions today that I can barely breathe.
I am full of JOY.
I am full of LOVE.
I am full of FEAR.
I am of SADNESS.
I am full FAITH.
I am full of PEACE.
I am full of HOPE.
My head is still swirling from the past week events. I still wake up each morning thinking that this is all a dream. CANCER has always been that little grey cloud in my family that other family members and friends sadly got. I can only imagine what my Dad up in Heaven is saying about this one right now. He is shaking his head in disbelieve for sure and likely cracking some silly joke…that’s my dad! *grin* The hardest part of this week was telling my husband and my kiddos. I still get tears in my eyes even thinking about it. As a Mom you want to protect them no matter what, and last week, I broke their hearts. well, actually Cancer broke their hearts. It is ok though because I will mend them! Because that is what a Mum does, right!?
As the week went on I received so many amazing texts. messages and emails from people. People offering prayers and beautiful thoughts. People lifting me up with fasting and prayer. I cant tell you how full my heart felt as I felt your sweet prayers. Thank-you SO much! Prayer is such an amazing blessing! it really is so healing. I have done it for others but I have never wanted to ask people to do it for me. So last week and even still today as I have been so blessed to have people pray and fast for me I can tell you how full of love and peace it has made me feel. I can not thank you enough!
I also got in touch with my missionary’s mission president and I was able to Skype Kurt to talk to him. It was so bittersweet. It was wonderful to see him for the first time in a year and a half but so hard to tell him my news especially when he is on the other side of the globe. My kiddos are so awesome, that is all I can say!
“Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God.”
― Corrie ten Boom
I think the fear of the unknown is what is so scary. Especially when the doctor can’t tell me to much until I have my surgery. All he can say is he is surprised and that someone my age and sex really typical shouldn't get this. Also that he is quite sure where it is all at. But I guess we will find that out soon enough. That and Google. Google is SO bad! When you cant sleep at night, do not look on Google! Oh my Heavens!
I was just sitting trying to do some designing down and was listening to some Christmas Carols and the tears started rolling down my face. I haven't cried all week, but I have cried today. I am fine now. I did find out on Saturday that I have to be careful grocery shopping if I feel a little blue because I ended up buying food that I normally don't buy. I kept seeing food that I have never eaten and thought to myself what is I never get to eat that. Silly I know, cause I will likely live to 120! I got home and Marcus just looked at me like I am crazy as I presented him with a jar of Marmite, an elephant garlic and three different boxes of mac & cheese. (I don’t like any of those things!) Haha!
So, now I am going to relax. Enjoy making Christmas Cookies with my girls. Enjoy Christmas Traditions. Enjoy the Christmas Love Campaign. Enjoy Life.
I am SO grateful for all my blessings. This really is an AWESOME world! Just have to slow down and enjoy each and every moment!
Thank-you for being you and for being such amazing friends!
hugs,
Susan xo

Card fun with stencils
I find there is nothing more soothing or enjoyable than creating cards with pretty papers. I also love texture and creating texture with stencils can be a lot of fun.
The Live In Color Collection has beautiful shades of blues and pinks and yellows and more and the flowers are whimsical and fun. I chose to fussy cut the flowers then place them on cardstock which had been stenciled using the Crafter's Workshop Tiny Circle stencil.
Since this paper is double sided, I used the striped side for the card base and placed the stenciled panel on top. The flowers were then added to the card with foam adhesives for dimension.

Let It Snow Tag
Hi! Dana Tatar here today sharing a frosty tag that I created with Susan K. Weckesser patterned paper and stamps and some lovely products from The Crafter's Workshop, Canvas Corp, UmWow Studio and Prima.
I started with a piece of Beautiful Daydreams patterned paper and cut it down to the size of a standard shipping tag. I then cut circles from the Color Burst patterned paper and glued them randomly to the striped tag. I used The Crafter's Workshop Mini Folk Art Flower with Martha Stewart Sparkle Texture Effect to create the large "snowflake" pattern on the base of the tag.
I used the Susan K. Weckesser One of a Kind Winter Stamp Set to stamp the "Let it" portion of the sentiment. The letters for the word "SNOW" were cut from a piece of Live, Love, Create patterned paper. I outlined the letters with a white gel pen and topped the "O" with flowers. The chipboard is from UmWow Studio. I colored it lightly with acrylic paint, dabbing the color on with my fingers.
I finished the tag with floral trim, lace and adhesive pearls.
Thanks for stopping by today!

Christmas Love Campaign…& a new journey!
I am SO excited to be starting the SIXTH ANNUAL Christmas Love Campaign! I LOVE sharing love with all though around me through art and creativity. I LOVE doing this campaign with YOU!
So, What is The Christmas Love Campaign?
The 'CLC' is a very dear event that I started six years ago shortly after losing my father to cancer. My dad had lived a life of always doing kind things for ANYONE & EVERYONE. When he passed away suddenly I didn't know what I could do to continue spreading his kindness and love that he showed and gave everyone.. One day at a scrapbooking crop I noticed how kind scrapbookers can be to each other even though most of the time they are total strangers. I noticed that even happens on the internet. Crafters reaching out to other crafters with words of encouragement in hard times and in good times. After seeing this, I approached The Canadian Scrapbooker in the Fall of 2009 and I asked Katharina Doyle and Jackie Ludlage if I could write an article for their magazine on a topic that was very important to me, entitled 'Scrap Matters'. It talked about the awesome power of arts, crafts, and scrapbooking and I asked people how they brightened other peoples day by being creative?
'Simple Acts of Creative Kindness is an AWESOME TOOL!'
This year the CLC has touched my heart at a entirely new level! I am late at putting out the campaign because the last few months I haven’t felt to well. I thought it was my kidneys bothering me. I was also told in June that my jaw and teeth were softening , and that I would need reconstructive this year…a big surgery that meant having my teeth replaced with implants and bone graft in my jaw. So, I figured my feeling not good was all that and a LOT of nerves too. So last week I went into hospital for what I thought was a simple surgery to have some of my kidney stones removed however it turned into a bladder biopsy that totally surprised me. I tried not to think about it all week. However my doctor call last night to chat. I guess it turns out that I have Bladder Cancer. The word CANCER, still echoes in my ears. Never saw that coming. I didn't even know that there was such a thing. He said that he was really surprised because I am so young. I will be going in for surgery to remove what they can and then they will decide what else should be done. They will also figure out if it has gone anywhere else.
NOW, I don't like talking about my health. But, I just wanted you to know what I am up to. I asked for my surgery to be after Christmas because I want to have a wonderful one with my kiddos! Right!? *smile* Plus, i know in my heart… my faith will carry me through. So, you have to smile! I am about to start a new journey…
This is where I need you! I want to create my little heart out because it is SO healing!!!! It really is! I want to create and I want to share some Christmas LOVE with as many people as I can! Please help me!!! PLEASE help me share some creative LOVE with neighbour , strangers, and the people around you!!!!

Celebrate the Simple Things
I then took my glittery gellyroll pen and went around the circles and added some dots here and there. I added some Christmas twine and gold ribbon to the top and finished it with a bow.
I punch small gold glitter circles and added them with a few red sequins.
I stamped the sentiment from the set with red ink and cut it apart.
Have a wonderful rest of your Tuesday friends and don't forget to check back to see what our amazing Design Team creates this week.
