PINK CHRISTMAS

The holidays are fast approaching, are you ready??  I am SO not ready!  I have to get busy!!

A few years ago I had Pink Christmas.  With the exception of our sentimental ornaments, everything else was pink.  It was awesome!  I made a "Kissing Ball" for my foyer that was pink and that is what I thought of when I saw this new Susan K. Weckesser stamp set "An {Artful} Ornament".
SSSOOOooooo  CUTE!!

I made a Pink Christmas card with this stamp set.
I gathered my supplies first.  I picked papers from Susan's Live In Color Scrapbook Paper Collection that were tan and pink.  I loved the circles and thought they would go well with the stamps.  I diecut the same paper and matted it on pink Core'dinations Cardstock.  I stamped on the same pink paper.

I colored the ornament with my Tombow markers.  I just outlined the swirls and colored in some areas.  I finished the coloring with some Stickles glitter glue.  I love glitter!

I finished the card with some mini pearls, pink seam binding and a pink butterfly.

This card is making me think I need another Pink Christmas this year!
What do you think?

Thanks for visiting!  Have an awesome day!

A Christmas Gnomey

Good morning friends. Larissa here with a gnome Christmas. By now you know how much I love this little gnome. I could not wait to get started on Christmas with him.

So today I stamped him on a piece of 110 lb white cardstock and colored him with my Copic markers. I used for his skin E000, E00 and R20. For his suit I used R24, R27, R29 and a little R39. For his hair I used C3. and finally I used G28 to color the little flower in his hand.

I used a piece of pattern paper and matted it with a piece of red cardstock. I adhered everything to a white card.

I already plan on using him on a lot more Christmas things. So watch for him.
Thank you for stopping by today and checking out my post.

New Christmas Stamp Releases

IMG_4015I LOVE the CHRISTMAS SEASON! I love all the traditions that are wrapped up in that time of year!

“Christmas doesn't come from a store, maybe Christmas perhaps means a little bit more....”

― Dr. Seuss, How the Grinch Stole Christmas!

The baking , the decorating of the tree, the family stories and get togethers, the ‘pixieing’ of goodies to random strangers, the snowball fights, ice skating, Christmas specials, and so much more! It truly is a sweet time of year! However, I know it can be a wee bit stressful at times too that is why I am SO grateful for all the opportunities I have during the Christmas Season to sit down and create something! It relaxes me, which then in turn relaxes everyone around me! *grin* Seriously, doodling and crafting are so good for my health! I really have seen that over the last ten years. It is so calming. Even if I can only fit in a couple minutes into my day. And who doesn't like to receive a homemade gift or card at Christmas.

“It’s NEVER too early to start crafting for Christmas!”

I had SO much fun creating these NEW Christmas Stamps! I hope that you enjoy them too! VERY-VERY-MERRY

Haunted Tumbleweed Houses Arch with Dana

Hi! Dana here today sharing a spooky arch for Halloween. I previously used the Tumbleweed Houses Stamp Set to create a bright and sunny arch and I had a lot of fun using these stamps again to make a more scary version of this whimsical street.

I covered the base of my chipboard arch with Susan K. Weckesser Live In Color patterned paper. I used Ranger Distress Ink with some stencils to turn the bright blue patterned paper into a nighttime scene. I cut a yellow circle from the Susan K. Weckesser Color Burst Patterned Paper and then colored it with Clearsnap Smooch to add an orange shimmer.

I cut the letters for the word "BOO" from the Susan K. Weckesser Live, Love, Create Patterned Paper. I colored the stamped houses with dark shades and chose yellow for all the windows to give them an eerie glow. I finished the arch with some colorful trim and a glittery spider.

a spooky little greeting

Hi everyone, Sandee here to share one of my favorite stamps
I just LOVE these tiny little houses and find this stamp set to be extremely versatile!
I made a Halloween card with this set.

First I used the Splatter It stamp to create the background and then stamped some of the tiny houses onto the paper. ( This way I don't have to fussy cut around the little chimneys. ) Then stamped the houses again in colored paper and cut them out and glued them over the stamped images.

If you know me at all, you know I love to get out my Micron Pens and doodle away! I had so much fun drawing miniature trick or treaters along with some landscape details like trees and light-posts and tiny bats circling in the sky. And that tiny jack o'lantern was created using a hole punch and then drawing on it after it was glued down!

For a border around the card I used the Live in Color stencil and traced along one of the edges and then back in with my Sakura magna pen and a Signa white pen and doodled.....see, I told you I love to make marks!

The spooky little greeting stamp is by Bug Bites called Magic Spells and the striped paper is from my stash drawer.
( There is nothing scarier than hoarding a box of scraps I tell you!! )

I hope everyone has a fun and safe Halloween!!

Leaves Of Fall

Today I am popping in to share a quick card design I made using Susan K Weckesser and The Crafter's Companion products.
Autumn Grunge 1

Autumn Grunge

Some of the stencils from TCW I used were : pod fragments,Beaded Curtain, and Harlequin.

I used Susan K Weckesser paper as a background and inked and distressed with ink.

Of course I had to add some texture with molding paste and stencil.

Most of the papers in the background were in my supplies and the ribbon and twine is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Hope you had a great weekend and thanks so much for stopping by today.

Steph Ackerman finishes our Creatastic Week with her altered letter!
Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today and I am so excited to be working with some amazing stencils from The Crafter's Workshop
I found a chunky letter recently and I decided to alter it.  This is a faux leather letter that was bright orange, a bit gaudy for my taste so I thought I'd see what I could do with it.

I mixed Art Anthology Gesso with Mi Bella Sorbet paint to create a lovely shade of pink.  I painted the letter and, once dry, I placed The Crafter's Workshop Fireworks stencil on top and spritzed it with Art Anthology's Colorations in Heart.

Once dry,  I spritzed the letter with Art Anthology's Colorations in Patience using The Crafter's Workshop Lace Stencil.   Not wanting to waste any paint, I placed white cardstock on top of the wet stencil and got this lovely pattern.  I put this aside to create something later on.

Using an art dauber with ColorBox Crafter's Ink in Stone, I inked the edges of the letter.  It added a nice contrast to the soft colors.

Cutting apart one of the tags from the Live in Color collection, I inked the pieces and added them to the letter.  Then I stamped and fussy cut the girl and butterfly from Unity's Grandmas' Needlepoint set.  A few dew drops from the Robin's Nest provided some nice bling to the letter.

Next, I created a card from Core'dinations cardstock.  Using beige cardstock with the Lace stencil on  a panel of Core'dinations cardstock, I added color with ColorBox Stone Crafter's Ink and ColorBox Chestnut Roan Chalk Ink using an art dauber.

Using a Live in Color Tag, I inked it and added it to the card with brads.  I fussy cut the rose from the Live in Color Collection, inked it and added it to the card with foam adhesives.

Stickers were added to the tag to finish the card.
Thanks for stopping by today.
