Just a Little "tweet" House

I was at my local scrapbook store the other day and ran across this little paper mache bird house and thought that it would be great to work with and combine with Susan K Weckessar products!

I started by cutting a strip of paper and fitting it around the body of the house.  I then punched out a hole in the middle and a smaller hole underneath, this would fit over the opening and the bird perch.  I then cut out 12 triangles from another piece of paper just free hand cutting the size and shape of each.  These will make up the roof singles of the house.

I assembled it all together with liquid glue, overlapping the shingles onto the house.

I then punched out two flowers, one to cover the top of the house and the other went around the perch.  I added bling around the base of the house, cut a little bird from paper and attached it to the perch.  I added some feathers to the birds tail and the work HOME on top.  This HOME cut out is by Want 2 Scrap and I just love that I could leave it plain and it blended right into my project!

And that is it the final product, a cute little bird house.  Maybe I will hang it from a stick around Easter time in the spring!

I'll be back next week with another special little project I made with Susan's products as well as more Want 2 Scrap products.

Hugs Jennifer

The beaut thing about your bird - it would not sing out a dawn like the ratbags do here!
