Le Mason . . .

Hi everyone, Tracy here today to share a quick journal page in my old book using another beautiful house stamp called
Le Mason
and
Fly Away
by Susan K Weckesser co branded with Unity Stamp co.

along with

Washing the Dust off

by Susan K Weckesser co branded with Studio 12 Stamps

which is ready to pre order in the UK from the Polkadoodles store here.

Time to gather together some supplies and get messy!!
Taking a few manila tags I inked up the Le Mason house stamp with an Archival Jet Black Ink pad, stamping the image a few times.
Snip, snip, snip to add a little dimension and a touch of color with
Tim Holtz Distress Stains and Distress Ink Pads.
Followed by a few doodle doodle doos and a quick coat of Cosmic Shimmer Clear embossing powder.
The background was put together with
a splodge of White Acrylic paint worked in with my hand,
followed by Tim Holtz Distress Stains in
Broken China, Peeled Paint, Walnut Stain and Fired Brick.
See that beautiful kite on the left . . . it`s from the Fly Away Stamp set.
More stamping to make the clouds from the Fly Away set,
 snip, snip, snip
a touch of Distress Paint was added in Picket Fence
and
blasted with the my heat tool till they bubbled for added texture.
Taking a black liner pen I added more fence on each side of the house along with a washing line to go with the quote from
The Purpose of Art
is Washing The Dust Of
Daily Life Off Our Souls.
-Pablo Picasso
Stamped and chopped the quote up, fixing in place with a little Glossy Accents.
Ahhh but it was not finished yet!
This little old book is not only a journal but a recipe of ideas on how to . . .
Soooo on the opposite page is my materials list . . . eeeek spot the mistake!!!
I forgot to add the Fly Away stamp set . . . all done now though, phew.
Before I go I thought you might like to see another page in the book that I put together using
Well that`s all from me today.
Thank you so much for taking the time to look, I hope I have inspired even one of you to have a go and get messy.
Till next time

  2. What a great idea to have the facing page as a recipe page... Fabulous little house, and I love the delicate stains against the white paint. Now determined to go upstairs and start painting books with my fingers! Thank you for the fabulous inspiration.
