Put A Gnome On It - Gift Bags

Hi! Dana here today sharing a set of gift bags that I created to help promote the Susan K. Weckesser Spot The Gnomey Contest. I picked up some chalkboard gift bags and used chalk ink along with the Insta-Cute Stamp Set and the Susan K. Weckesser Live in Color Stencil to decorate the front of each gift bag.

I had a lot of fun stamping gnomes onto colorful pieces of Core'dinations Tillie Dot Cardstock using the What's Up Gnomey Stamp Set. I then paper pieced the gnomes together and added them to the frames. The texture from the Tillie Dot Cardstock helps give my bags some extra wow factor!

The Susan K. Weckesser design team is pairing up with UmWow Studio this week!  We were given wonderful UmWow Studio products to work with.  I made this Art Journal layout called "Let Love Fly".
I started by making a background with with 4 different colors of Ranger Distress Ink.  I sprayed it with some water and let it dry.  Re-Inker drops were splashed around the page.  I then used the Susan K. Weckesser Numbers Stencil and the UmWow "Heart Hands" Mask.  I stamped Susan K. Weckesser "A Little Grunge Love" Heart stamp on the pages and added some wings from Sin City Stamps.  Some doodles and UmWow Chipboard "Layered Hearts" finished it off.

This is a close up of the UmWow Mask and the Susan K. Weckesser Heart Stamp.  You can see the splatter really well and the outline around the wings.

Now, go, create and "Let Love FLY"!

Here is the lineup for the week. Again, don’t forget to leave a comment each day to be entered to win one of TWO surprise prize packages! We will pick winners after July 27 and announce on both Susan K Weckesser and UmWowStudio blogs.

Susan K. Weckesser + UmWow Studio Event - Day 4

Hello Friends!! Welcome to the SUMMER BLOG HOP between UmWowStudio and Susan K Weckesser Inc. We'll be sharing gorgeous bright and shining inspiration with you from both teams all week long. Be sure to keep visiting, hopping and commenting to enter to win one of TWO prize packages. Each day is chock full of goodness and we don't want you to miss a thing.

Hi! Dana here today sharing a 6x6 canvas that I created for the Susan K. Weckesser and UmWow Studio partnership event. The UmWow Studio Light Bulb Mask inspired this bright piece.

I applied a thin layer of light molding paste over the Light Bulb Mask and then topped it with one of my husband's old guitar amp tubes. I love using them for funky light bulbs. I highlighted some of the light rays with Clearsnap Sundance Smooch. I cut the colorful letters from the Susan K. Weckesser Live, Love, Create Patterned Paper.

I colored UmWow Studio Layered Circles Chipboard with ink and then used them separately, rather than layered, to pair with the colored circles that I cut from the Susan K. Weckesser Color Burst Patterned Paper.

I stamped around the edge of the canvas with the Susan K. Weckesser A Little Bit Washi Stamp Set. I used the bottom piece of an UmWow Studio Layered Banner Chipboard as a corner accent above.

I finished the canvas with some Vintage Photo Distress Ink around the edges, a light coat of white mist and some hand-dyed ribbon.

Here is the lineup for the week.  Again, don’t forget to leave a comment each day to be entered to win one of TWO surprise prize packages! We will pick winners after July 27 and announce on both Susan K Weckesser and UmWowStudio blogs.

Altered Clock

Hello Friends!! Welcome to the SUMMER BLOG HOP between UmWowStudio and Susan K Weckesser Inc. We'll be sharing gorgeous bright and shining inspiration with you from both teams all week long. Be sure to keep visiting, hopping and commenting to enter to win one of TWO prize packages. Each day is chock full of goodness and we don't want you to miss a thing.

Hi everyone Steph Ackerman here today with a fun little altered clock.   I used some awesome Susan K Weckesser papers from the Live In Color Collection and, as we are partnering with UmWow Studio this month, I used some awesome chipboard elements.

I found this clock recently in my local craft store. Because it was missing some pieces, I was able to get it on clearance and modify it as I wanted!

I first painted the wood base with Art Anthology's Copper paint, then used some of Susan K Weckesser's Live in Color papers to cover the front and sides of the clock.  I wanted a little of the painted wood to show, so I cut the papers slightly smaller than the wood panels.

I used Mod Podge to adhere the papers and, because the papers are a good strong quality, I was able to adhere the papers without bubbles.

The floral paper was perfect to adhere along the sides of the clock.  I love how the flowers appear to be growing up the sides.

An assortment of flowers was added to the bottom corner of the clock with brads and glue dots.

I used some fun chipboard elements from Umwow Studio - a Swallow which I inked and then stamped with a phrase from Grandma's Needlepoint stamp set  and several banners which I inked and added amongst the flowers.

A close up of the flower cluster.

I love how it turned out and wish I had a few more to alter!

Thanks for stopping by today.

smile

Hello Friends!! Welcome to the SUMMER BLOG HOP between UmWowStudioand Susan K Weckesser Inc. We'll be sharing gorgeous, bright and shining inspirations with you from both teams all week long. Be sure to keep visiting, hopping and commenting to enter to win one of TWO prize packages. Each day is chock full of goodness and we don't want you to miss a thing.

--------------------------------------------------------
Today I am sharing a tiny gift box that I altered. I love to re-purpose things and I am always asking my friends to save cartons and other fun stuff for me. This past week end one of my friends gifted me with a large bag full of tiny and fun shaped boxes which really made me smile! I had almost as much fun picking one out as I did altering it.

I adore the teeny tiny diamond shaped confetti from UmWow. They are so cute and so perfectly cut out! Just fun to play with!!

And speaking of adorable, I love using the little girl stamped image from the Susan K. Weckesser/Unity stamp set, Grandma's Needlepoint . I really appreciate images that give me hands to place things in, like flowers or heart shaped balloons. And I love to pop dot up images whenever I can using Helmar's Liquid Scrap Dots, this adhesive is seriously one of my favs!

I took the larger UmWow heart and covered it with the Sakura Gelly Roll glaze pen first and then coated it with Ranger's Glam Pink stickles and the smaller heart stacked on top is generously flocked with Stampendous Pixie Pink Fun Flock. I think it's always nice to have something soft and fuzzy to touch!!

This little box has a lotta' Wow factor because of all the shine. The UmWow diamond confetti was attached to the sides of the box using Ranger's Glossy Accents which gives it a patent leather sheen.

My last touch was writing the word "smile" with the Signo white pen on top one of the small UmWow Poloroid Mash frames which is also covered with the glaze pen. I used the balloon's string as the letter "L" in smile. I think it's a nice touch, kinda' fun!

This little box just makes me grin, I hope it brings a smile to your face too!

Monday Summer Blog Hop

Hi everyone! Larissa here with a Monday creation for you.

I made a card using a stencil from UmWow Studio as well as a little chipboard heart.

I started off by stamping a little house from the Create a Day stamp set by Susan K Weckesser.

I then used the UmWow Studio Heart Confetti Mask and sponged ink over the top.

I finished the card off by adding a little chipboard heart with a sentiment from the set Grandma's Needlepoint.

I hope you enjoyed my little creation today.
Check back tomorrow for more creations featuring UmWow Studios and Susan K Weckesser products.

Have a marvelous Monday.
Until next time.
