It's raining, it's pouring...

Ashley loved jumping on the trampoline outside in the rain.

Jessica had a great time with her sister in the rain. It was dark and chilly but, oh so magical at the same time!
Yup, these pictures were taken almost a week ago and since them the rain has not stopped! Our desert has turned into a swamp and my heart goes out to the many families and people that have had serious problems because of all of this wet stuff! I, myself haven't had that much time to blog or work on my art because our new home, and my studio, was one of the many homes effected by the floods in Medicine Hat, Alberta. You really should see how so many families are being effected and maybe say a little prayer for them - http://watch.ctv.ca/news/latest/prairie-floods/ .
So,we are in between two houses....one dry and one wet. I can't wait to be settled so I can get back to work because I have so many exciting things  to announce very soon! I am so grateful to each one of you. Thank-you for your support and friendship.

Watercolor Paints and Scrapbooking

I love that in the last couple of years scrapbooking has really greatly changed in that there really isn't any rules anymore - 'ANYTHING GOES!" Do you remember a few years back when there were rules or guidelines on how you create a layout, or scrapbook page every time. For example, you were to have a title, a picture, and a write up on every page. I guess if you looked, you could still find rules, but basically, people are generally more opened minded about what they are creating or what they are looking at.
This can be so liberating as a scrapbooker or an artist not to be bound by rules. So why not take advantage of it today and try something you haven't done before like creating your own scrapbook paper.
Watercolor paints can have endless possibilities when creating paper. The paints come in tubes, cakes, or pencils. I had so much fun designing butterflies to fly around my daughter on this layout with watercolor pencils. I then added some bling with some gemstones from Heidi Swapp . Watercolor paints are extremely user friendly, so just draw your pattern first and then have some fun!

Scrapbooking and Camping

Oh nuts Layout

Oh nuts letters

It is that time of year again! No, I am not talking about mosquito  season, I am talking about camping season! When you can become one with nature; okay that might include some mosquitoes! Check out the summer issue of the Canadian Scrapbooker and see my tips on ‘How to take Your Scrapbooking on a Family Vacation.’  Read some other fantastic articles and see some sweet artwork from some amazing artists in this must see summer read!

Oh, when you are holidaying, make sure you have you camera ready at all times! I was taking some down time when this little guy jumped on my lap and ‘borrowed’ my lunch! Since I didn’t put up a fuss about it, he let me take his picture! Go figure! :)

Sorry, my posts have been sparse over the last couple of weeks. We are in the middle of moving over to Medicine Hat, Alberta! We are so super excited about the move! It is the ‘moving’ part that I could do with out! [packing, unpacking…]

Hey…..I have would love to share a copy of the Canadian Scrapbooker with someone. Leave a comment…..you will LUV it!

Keep on Scrappin’
