The Happy Homestead and an Art Journal

Hello everyone Kim here today i am sharing with you an art journal page I have completed using the amazing stamps and pattern paper from Susan Weckesser.

I just loved the The Happy Homestead stamp, In circle me stamp and the the Live in Colour pattern paper.

I have completed lots of layers before taking the The Homestead stamp and stamping on to tissue paper and then using gel medium to adhere it to my page and then I took the flowers from the Live in Colour paper and cut them out and clustered them into the bottom corner of my LO. I have also used the In Circle Me stamp and just rolled it up and randomly inked across my page as you will from some of the close images.

You can see how I have randomly stamped using the In Circle Me stamp from the below image.

Below show how I have used the Live in Colour pattern paper to make the collage of flowers,

And this final image shows the effect you achieve by stamping onto the tissue paper using the Happy Homestead stamp,

Snowflake Kisses

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today using a sweet new stamp set from Unity called Hello Winter.  This stamp set contains 9 stamps of assorted sizes and today I wanted to focus on the Winter Girl.

I colored her with Copic Markers then die cut her with Spellbinders dies.  She looks so cute!!!  A light edging of Shimmer Metallic Pigment Ink was added before I matted her with brown cardstock.

Using the Bouquet paper from the Live in Color Collection, I placed her on top, then added the sweet sentiment which I also die cut.

Around the card I tied ribbon, then added the panel with foam adhesives.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Quick and Easy Decorative Tags

Hi everyone, Steph here today.   This month's theme is tags so I've created two tags using an assortment of Susan K. Weckesser products.

I've used large office supply tags as the base of my tags, but you could easily use a heavy weight cardstock if you prefer.  The tags were edged with Shimmer Color Pop Metallic Pigment Ink.

Cutting the Color Burst paper to fit the tag, I fussy cut a large flower from the Live in Color paper and added it to the tag with foam adhesives.   The cute fox from the Going Wild stamp set was stamped, colored and fussy cut then added to the left of the flower.

Bouquet paper was cut to fit the tag.  A large flower was cut from the Live in Color paper and added to the tag with foam adhesives.  I also cut apart the Live in Color tag sheet, using 3 words which were inked and added to the tag with foam adhesives.

Tags are really fun to create and are perfect for using up left over scraps.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Live In Color Tag Ornaments

Hi Friends!  Joyce Shaulis here today with another November tag project.  For this project, I recycled drink coasters and turned them into ornaments.  There are a variety of shapes available anymore, so that makes it more fun.  For these, I used ones that were 4" x 4".

To begin, I cut out four images from the Live in Color Tag scrapbook paper.

I stamped onto white cardstock with Mystery, color POP mini ink and the stamp set, Unicorns and Rainbows.  I also used some of the mushrooms, flowers, and bugs from the What's Up Gnomey? set.

I used markers to color in the Unicorn and Rainbow images and cut them out.

I also colored in mushrooms, flowers, a butterfly, and a ladybug from the What's Up Gnomey? stamp set and cut them out.

Using Decoart's Decou-Page and an old paintbrush, I glued the tags onto the four coasters.  Then I glued the cut out images with Decou-page on top of the tags.

Next, I took the mini POP inks and swiped the edges of the coasters.  For these four, I used Kiss, Fresh, and Ice.

With a charcoal pencil, I outlined the images and the lines on the tags.  I smudged lightly with a Q-tip.  Then I coated all the coasters with the Decou-page.  After drying, I coated them all with Ultra-Matte varnish.

Choosing from my sequin and jewel stash, I glued an assorted variety onto the coasters with white glue.

I then used a paper punch to punch two holes into the upper corners.  Then, I used a 12'-14" piece of ribbon to tie in the holes, making a loop in the center of the ribbon.

These can be used as tags and double as ornaments.  I think they'd be a cute addition for a birthday or baby present.  I hope you enjoyed my project and that it will give you some ideas to recycle those drink coasters.

"Friends Forever" Friendship Card

Hi Crafty Friends!  Joyce Shaulis here today sharing a quick and easy friendship card with you using Susan K. Weckesser's fabulous ink, stamps, and scrapbook paper.

This week I had the wonderful opportunity to spend the day with my two best friends that I've known since elementary school.  I won't tell you how many years that's been, but we did the math and it's a lot!!!  For this card, I used a photo of myself with my one friend from 1982.  I will be happy to send her this card as we cherish our years of memories.

To start, I made a card using light yellow cardstock measuring 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" when folded.  Then, I cut a piece of the "Live in Color" scrapbook paper 5" x 4", using the green back side.  Then, I cut out two flowers from the same paper from the front.

Next, I stamped with Mystery mini POP ink and quotes from the Insta-Cute stamp set onto yellow cardstock. I also stamped the framed image onto light yellow cardstock, also with Mystery.  Then I cut these images out and edged them with Mystery ink.

I then edged the two flowers, the card, and the green background piece with Mystery ink.

I copied my original photo and cut it to size to fit in the desired place.  I glued each layer down using mini glue dots.  I also cut tiny flowers from the "Live in Color" paper and edged them in Mystery.  I attached those with mini glue dots also.  I added an additional sentiment inside the card.

Thank you for allowing me to share my friendship memory and card with you today.  Be sure to share a card, a call, or a special gift with a good friend today.  Friendships are a true treasure.

Journaling Fun with Susan K Weckesser Products

Hello fellow crafters! I hope you're having a fantastic day! Today is my first post for the Susan K Weckesser Inc. Design Team and I am in love with her products. I am showing my journal cover that I have been waiting to do until the journal was filled so it would lay flat while I was working on the inside.

First I covered the edges of my journal with white gesso. Then I cut down my paper to fit inside the white painted lines and taped down my designer paper with double sided tape.  Any edges that were lifting I squeezed in some glue for permanency.

Next it was time to go to town on the stencils. I used acrylic paints as well as gesso with my stencils.
I painted the words Live In Color with all the colors of the rainbow.  I like to doodle as well so I took my pen and doodled to my heart's content.

I used Stazon Ink to stamp my image several times on different papers and fussy cut them out.

Below I decided to try something a little different. I recently purchased some shrink film and I used Stazon inks to stamp some images on. I used a heat tool to shrink my pieces and I adhered them to the cover using lacquer medium. You could also use clear glue.
Below shows the difference in size.
Here it is all put together! I had so much fun just letting the creativity flow without overthinking!
This was so much fun, I love the papers and stamps. The focal house is a fabulous stamp

I hope you enjoyed my journal cover! Head on over to the store and have a look around!
Warmly,
Peggy
