Stamping on vellum card tutorial with Irit

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my last November tutorial made for Susan K Weckesser blog.
I didn't make step by step photos this time, so it's just the step that you can do to make this fancy card.
1. Make the basic card with stitched rectangle die and Susan's Live in color cardstock.(Use the back side for this card)
Add another layer die cut in smaller size using Susan's Colorburst cardstock.(Use back side again)
2. Die cut the third rectangle and die cut the honeycomb using Sizzix die. Glue the die cut layer as your third layer.
3.Make yellow cardstock matting and the diagonal cardstock layer and glue them over the first three layers.
4. Stamp the Susan's co- branded with Unity sentiment from In my garden stamp set with black pigmented ink and heat emboss with clear powder. Die cut the sentiment and make a yellow circled matting using Die Versions stitched nested dies. Glue the sentiment over the card as shown.
5. Stamp the big flowers over clear vellum from the same stamp set in the same way and hand cut them. Color the flowers with Susan's inks from Clearsnap using them as water colors (Kiss, Fresh and Snow).
Glue the flowers with clear glaze and cover them with a  glaze layer.
6. Add some rhinestones and three yellow circles around the card. Make faux stitching as shown with black pen.

Mixed Media Card

Hi everyone!!

Here Noe to show you my newest project using Susan´s products... As you know,  this month our theme is "Mix Media"... one of my favourites themes together Cardmaking... I LOVE them !! .. So I did a combination of both in this project:

I have also used different bases and textures ... cardboard ... paper with black velvet ...  embossing resist with watercolors and finally Canvas Pennant painted with Gelatos and stamped with Susan´s stamps, specifically with "Grunge Fun", "In my Garden" and "Love ya whole bunches".

Girl was painted with my watercolors brushes from Kuretake and I added this heart on which I glued microbeads and glitter.

In the background in which I used embossing resist technique I stamped sentiments from "Love ya bunches whole" stamp set and then erased slightly with a help from a wet wipe for babies.

Bunny Pennant

Hi everyone!!

Noe here in this Wednesday! Today I would like to share with you a wonderful pennant for give to my best friend and garnish with it her beautiful room!

I painted my canvas pennant background with Gelatos, and mixed them with a watercolor brush. Then, I have outlined the edge with Doodle Stencil and Pink Sparkle Medium.

To finally my background, I have stamped differents Susan Stamps in different colors.

On the other hand, I have stamped too these beautiful flowers on watercolor paper and painted them with watercolors.
I also painted this adorable Bunny with my Spectrum Noir markers and  I stamped sentiment on a piece of cardstock that I cut with a framelit die.
Finally, I made two holes at the top, through which I passed a piece of ribbon to hang the pennant.

Happiness!

Hi everyone!!

I almost didn´t arrive on time !! But here I am!! I´ll tell you a little secret ... my favorite season is autumn! I love autumn colors, not just green or orange and some flowers bloom at this time !!

So... autumn can be a colorful season! And that's what I've done these days, observe the colors of all the things around me for inspiration and make a new page in my Art Journal!

Take a look!

To make this coloful Art Journal page I used:

Another secret: I´m a fan of Gelatos ... I love creating backgrounds using them, and that's how I made my own background ...Then  I added some relief with textures pastes and over them I've sprinkled some embossing powder.

I used the stamps in two different ways: one, stamping them directly on the pages of my journal and two, I stamping them on a separate sheet to paint and add them with 3D foam tape.

Finally I used Doodle stencil and some border stamps to frame my page.

Do you agree with the statement of my Art Journal? "Inspiring others toward happiness brings you happiness"...

I hope you like my DT project!

Have a great week!!

Plant a Garden

Hello friends. Larissa here today with a journal page that I am turning into pattern paper. When I set down to do this journal page I had something in my mind that I wanted it to look like in the end. I started stamping the flowers and leaves from "In My Garden" stamp set.

I actually stamped more than originally planned. I ended up grabbing my watercolors and coloring each flower and everything in between.

I planned on cutting it into 4 x 5 1/4 inch mats for a few birthday and thank you cards. But today I ended up with one of my favorite verses on a garden pick.

"To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow" by Aubrey Hepburn. That is so true for so many today.

I will be posting my cards when I figure out what I want them to say over on my blog and social media.

Have a wonderful day friends.

In My Garden

Hello friends. Larissa here today using one of my new favorite stamp sets from Susan K Weckesser. This is In My Garden.

I love the detail of each image. I stamped a few of the images on a piece of Kraft cardstock using Versamark ink. I then heat embossed using clear embossing powder.
I colored each image using my Prismacolor pencils and blended the color with OMS.
I love the way the color is sort of muted into the Kraft cardstock and that you can not see the harsh lines you would normally stamp with black ink.

I used a few fall colors but you could use bright colors on a piece of light blue cardstock or even stamp these images with black ink on white cardstock. Oh the possibilities are endless.

Have a wonderful day friends.

New Summer Stamp Release

am SO excited about this!
This is like a giant rainbow in my day!

Displaying unnamed.jpg

If you know me you know that I LOVE my garden. Well, besides getting creative in my studio.
I find being in my garden SO incredible relaxing and healing! I love sitting among all the plants with all their different colours and textures and just taking in all the beauty around me! It is so fun to plant a seed, bulb, or plant and watch it grow and see what it becomes. And watching all the little creatures that come and visit my garden. Well, that is just SO AWESOME!!!
So, I am really excited about this NEW little darling stamp set that I have co-branded with
Unity Stamp Company called , "in my garden".  It is filled right full of some of my sketches and drawings of plants that I have created while I have been sitting in my garden.
I really get so much strength from sitting among my flowers and the birds in the backyard. This year has been a real challenge for me. This really has been one of my hardest summers as I continue on this journey as a person fighting Cancer, but I feel blessed to be able to have birds and flowers that are full of life around me. It gives me such positive energy to just sit out there and think. That is why I am SO excited to be able to share this stamp set with you! I hope that it can make you smile to!
had fun making a journal page with a couple of the stamps from the stamps.
Do you see what I wrote? Do you see all the things that I like to do in my garden?
Oh, the strength I have found amongst the flowers, and the weeds, the birds and the awesome bees!!!
Yes, I really DO like the weeds too!!! *grin*

I am on Instagram. Let me know what you do in your garden? Use hashtag #inmygarden.

You can find this new kit at Unity Stamp Company. They a lot of new awesome releases tonight. Go check it out!
