Summer House Project Bucket List

Hello all!  Brooke Bock here with my very first project for the Susan K Weckesser design team.  I am thrilled to be a part of it...

I recently finished a summer studio space.  I have clean counter tops which is a rarity for me.  I wanted to create a Summer Bucket list for projects I have for our house and yard and I have the perfect spot picked out on the counter top for it to keep me inspired to get all those projects done.

I started with an old Reader's Digest book that was being discarded at a local book sale.  I removed the cover for another project and then carefully folded each page in half.  This is a great way to enjoy a movie and some inside time when it is hot outside.  Once done, it is so versatile.

Next, stamp your designs using the Tumbleweed Houses set and the Mystery Stamp pad.

Next, color them in. After they are colored, punch out each house.

Here comes one of my favorite tricks. Get out all those lovely Susan K. Weckesser Color Pop Mists and all the images you just punched out.

Ink the edge of each circle.

That one simple step makes them pop.

Next, punch some circles from the Color Burst paper.

Adhere the Color Burst circles to the backs of the house images.  Write each task on a tag.

Next, place them in your book file.  As I complete each task, I turn the tag around.  Having them on the counter top  reminds me of my goals. You could easily adapt this project for any other bucket list.

Home Sweet Home: Be Amazing Bunting

                                                                   Hi all

The theme on the blog this month  is Home Sweet Home so i have made an inspiring bunting using the Bunny Hugs Stamp Set and a MDF Bunting. I love to alter things for the home so i really enjoyed this months theme.

I started off by giving each piece of bunting three coats of paint to get a nice even amount of color. I alternated the colors so that i did not get two the same together. I then painted the MDF alphabet in black paint.

I then stamped around the edges of each piece with the little stamps that come with the Bunny Hugs Stamp Set. I used a mixture of Black,Sky and Kiss Color :Pop Minis.

I also stamped some of the the little stamps onto smooth card and colored them in with the color pop minis and cut them out.

I finished them off by adding a few gems and resin flowers.

A SWEET Home Decore Idea Using Sharpie Markers...

Happy Daaaay Everyone!  Lynne here today sharing my first project for the new Susan K. Weckesser Creative Team.  I am so honoured to be a member of the 2016-17 team and super excited to share my latest creation, which is something a little bit outside of my usual offerings.
This July we are celebrating our Homes so I decided to alter this canvas wall hanging I have been saving (hoarding?) for several years with the intention of hanging it in a corner of my new studio space where I like to sit and use my paints, draw and color.
Now just so you know, I don't usually "DO" home decor items. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE to decorate my home but with stuff other people have made, because my feeble attempts at making my own usually fail Big Time (grin).

But because this project was so simple and required no special skills or power tools, just some  ink, some stamps, my Sharpie markers and Ranger Stickles and Liquid Pearls... I think it turned out Beauuuutifully... Smile.
I used several of the Susan K. Weckesser Unity Stamp sets to create this super sweet, colorful and happy hanging,  (all listed below) and I have created a photo tutorial HERE on my blog if you are interested in seeing the entire process in more detail.  I do hope you like what I created for my first project for this new term and that it inspires you to create something of your own to honour your "Home Sweet Home".

Magic Happens!!

Hi everyone!!

I hope you´re having a great week! Noe here to show you my newest project for Susan K.Weckesser Inc... love her stamps... They are gorgeous!!

At this time I wanted to make one card... Cardmaking is one of my scrapbooking passions with Mixed Media art.

To make the background I used "Mermaid Lagoon" Distress Spray Stain spraying water on the card,
ink reacts leaving a beautiful watercolor effect.

I´ve also used "Wild Honeysuckle Coral" Lindys Stamp Gang, love this inks, they have a totally irresistible pearl effect!

Finally, I used a new product for me: "Stampendous Embossing Powder poudre pour gaufrage", exactly "Shabby Pink Rosé Minable" and "Aged Silver Argent Vieille" colors, and I must say I love the effect that make these embossing powders, a real discovery for me!
Susan K.Weckesser stamps were colored with my Spectrum Noir... I used these stamps sets:

My home is...

Hi everyone!!

Here Noe with my first project as a DT member... I´m very happy to being part in this wonderful cretive team!! (thanks Susan for this opportunity!).

So, here is my project, I hope you like it :)

Simple, right? Sure many will agree with me that no matter where, what matters is being around our families... so that, for me, "my home is where they are". I used "Home sweet Home" stamp set to make this special project.

To make this photo frame I used a Graphic45 base that I painted with a mixture of Whipped Spackle and Chalk Paint. Leveraging the paint was still wet  I sprinkled it with some blue glitter in some areas.

Once dry, I only had fun decorating the rest! I used my Spectrum Noir to paint the stamps... houses are sooo adorable!

And then I added decorations to my pleasure:  corners at the top, lace ribbon , a small canister with magical fairy dust with a key and a heart, and a small assembly with transparent fabric, feathers, felt, wood...

All decorations have been glued with hot glue to make me sure their resistance.

 Have a super great day!!

Journaling Fun with Susan K Weckesser Products

Hello fellow crafters! I hope you're having a fantastic day! Today is my first post for the Susan K Weckesser Inc. Design Team and I am in love with her products. I am showing my journal cover that I have been waiting to do until the journal was filled so it would lay flat while I was working on the inside.

First I covered the edges of my journal with white gesso. Then I cut down my paper to fit inside the white painted lines and taped down my designer paper with double sided tape.  Any edges that were lifting I squeezed in some glue for permanency.

Next it was time to go to town on the stencils. I used acrylic paints as well as gesso with my stencils.
I painted the words Live In Color with all the colors of the rainbow.  I like to doodle as well so I took my pen and doodled to my heart's content.

I used Stazon Ink to stamp my image several times on different papers and fussy cut them out.

Below I decided to try something a little different. I recently purchased some shrink film and I used Stazon inks to stamp some images on. I used a heat tool to shrink my pieces and I adhered them to the cover using lacquer medium. You could also use clear glue.
Below shows the difference in size.
Here it is all put together! I had so much fun just letting the creativity flow without overthinking!
This was so much fun, I love the papers and stamps. The focal house is a fabulous stamp

I hope you enjoyed my journal cover! Head on over to the store and have a look around!
Warmly,
Peggy

Wicked Little House

Hello friends. Larissa here and I am so excited to be serving a second year with Susan K Weckesser. This month our theme is Home Sweet Home challenging the creative team to use a house on their project.
With Halloween being a few weeks away I wanted to use a spooky house. So I stamped the house from The Happy Homestead  on a piece of watercolor paper. I used my Peerless watercolors to color it up.

I then found some Halloween theme pattern paper to use for the background paper. I also went through my die cut bucket where I keep a bunch of pre-cut dies and found a few ghosts and a tombstone. I also found a couple of pumpkins and a black cat.

I adhered everything down on the pattern paper using liquid adhesive. I then adhered the card front to a orange cardbase.

I think this little house is going to be prefect for all seasons. Add a few gingerbread and gumdrops for an awesome Christmas house.

I hope you have a wonderful day friends. Make sure to check back with us because the new girls on the team are super awesome and they are going to have very cool projects to share with you.
