Valentines Love Card

Hello Friends. Larissa here!  Valentine's Day is coming soon. Do you make cards to send to friends and love ones? Here is a simple idea using Susan K Weckesser  A Little Bit Washi stamp set.

I started off stamping each stamp in a different shade of pink ink. I lined them up to see where I wanted each one and then would just stamp them on the cardstock. Because I thought it looked pretty plain I pulled out the Heartfelt Warmth stamp set and used the love stamp to stamp in the middle of the cardstock with the darkest ink.
To give the card a little more I added a few gold sequins and a little gold glitter heart. I hand wrote the Happy Valentine's Day sentiment across the bottom.
I matted the white cardstock onto a piece of hot pink cardstock and then onto a white card base.

I hope you enjoyed my post today.

Have a wonderful day friends.

Love Ya Bunches

Hello friends. Happy New Year. I wish everyone great blessing in 2016. Today I have started my Valentine cards. This set by Susan K Weckesser is a perfect set to use for Valentine's Day.

I think this set could be used for several holidays actually.

I stamped the little girl on a tag. My original idea was to have a tag for a present. Once I was done with the tag I decided to add it to a card front.

I colored the little girl using Copic markers. Her dress is paper pieced with paper from Doodlebug Designs.
I used the leftover piece of pattern paper for the card front and a trimmed piece for the second piece of pattern paper. I just flipped it over.
Don't you love double sided paper. It always matches.

To finish off the card front I wrapped Valentine twine around the side of the card and tied a bow. Then I had to finish it off with a few sequins. Who doesn't love a few shiny sequins.

Thank you for popping by today. I hope you enjoyed my post.
Again Have a Blessed New Year friends.

Tickled Pink

When I saw the papers that Susan K. Weckesser designed I fell in love with them. Literately I saw the heart design on her papers and thought it would be perfect for a Love/Valentines Day card.

I went for mostly pink in this card, it really helps tie everything together, plus with it being a Valentines Day/Love card pink was just perfect.  I added in patterned and corrugated papers from Fancy Pants, they worked perfectly.  Covered parts of the papers with Snow Tex to give it texture, waited until it dried and then sprayed it with some pink Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist.  Added in some bling, chipboard, flowers, and some twine from May Arts Ribbon and poof you have a pink card!

I cut out the top right section of the "Live in Color Tags" paper that says "Tickled Pink" by Susan K. Weckesser.

Around the heard on the tag I used ClearSnap Smooch paint in molasses, let it dry, then added little dots of Ranger Distress Stickles in Tattered Rose.  To the words "Tickled Pink" I added a couple of little dots of light pink puff paint to each letter at random.  Using your Stickles, puffy paints, and Smooch paints are an easy way to spice up tags and paper.

Supplies Used
Paints/Glitter/Mist - ClearSnap, Ranger, Tattered Angels, and DuncanCrafts
Flowers - Prima
Crystals - Recollections
SnowTex - DecoArt
Brad - Spare Parts
Chipboard - BoBunny

Enjoy!
