Christmas tags of Peace and Joy

Hello, Peggy here and welcome to my tags of peace and joy.
today's supplies used are:
Susan K Weckesser Stamps World Of Christmas
Memento Black Ink
Cardstock
Tombow/Copic Markers
Embellishments
Twine/String
seam binding
glue
Embossing tools and supplies

I stamped both tag World of Christmas stamps onto white cardstock with memento black ink. Next I colored each tag with markers. I stamped JOY and Peace also from the same set and embossed JOY in gold and adhered down to some seam binding.
I added texture with embellishments using art ingredients bronze micro beads and beaded trim. I also used beads as a trim on her collar.

Here is the next stamp in this collection (World of Christmas). I colored the tag with my tombow and copic markers and added the Merry Christmas sentiment from the same set and cut it out. I happen to have a small flower piece of left over G45 paper I added to the top of the tag.

A fabulous set of Christmas tags and sentiments!

We are having a contest to celebrate Canadian Scrapbooker magazine's 10th Anniversary coming up!

We want you to share how you are crafting up love and I would love to see your pictures and cards, projects , edible crafts etc.  Upload your photos using the sidebar link  on the blog and use hashtag #craftuplove #christmaslovecampaign to your social media.

Cute Little Snowmen ATCs

Hi all

I am back with my first post for December using the Snow Way stamp set . How is everyone coping with the festive season?  grab your mince pies and mulled wine and let the festive fun begin.

Cute aren't they? I loved the way these little snowmen looked coloured in so i made a few ATCs

I spritzed the background with a mixture of Vintage Blue, Vintage Burgundy and Sepia Inks

The background is stamped with the A Little Bit Washi set which is one of my favs

you can get so many different designs with the Snow Way stamp set and there are so many different colour combinations you could use.

I added some clear sparkles because the look like little snowballs.

The Snow Way stamp set has so many whimsical designs. I love this cheeky little chap with his little hat and scarf.

Thank you for visiting

Sometimes It IS All About the Packaging...

Hello and Good DAY everyone!  Lynne here again to share with you what I created for my first design team post in December.  This month our theme is "Sharing Some LOVE" as we kick off the 2015 Christmas Love Campaign, and create something to gift to someone, even a stranger, to "share the love" and maybe to help make the world a bit of brighter, happier place for someone.  Or to use the quote from the 2014 Campaign:

“Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,

Nothing is going to get better. It's not.”

― Dr. Seuss, The Lorax

And on that note, since Love & Sharing for me are all about the FOOD, this year I will be gifting cookies and squares and pickles and delivering them in these sweet little canvas bags which I picked up at my local dollar store,
And which I found very quick and easy to decorate using Ranger's Distress Paints and Distress Stains for the background, Susan Weckesser's Unity Stamps "Tumbleweed Houses" and "Sail Away" as my images and Rangers Stickles and Liquid Pearls to accent everything.  For more about my process and more detailed photos, please do pop over to My BLOG.

Wishing you a Happy, Happy Day ... Smile

Designer Chat with Ann Butler!

At this time of year, during the Christmas love Campaign, I {LOVE} it when here at Susan K. Weckesser Inc. we have guests on the blog. It is a segment that I like to call ‘Designer Chat’ and I ask a few designers in the arts, crafts, and scrapbooking industry if they could share what Christmas Love Charity means to them. I also ask if they can share some of their awesome talents!

So today I am thrilled to introduce a super talented and wonderful friend of mine:

The AWESOME DESIGNER Ann Butler

Hi Everyone,
I am honored that Susan asked me to be part of this years Christmas Love Campaign.  I found out about this a few years ago and it really touched my heart.  I believe that sharing with others, through whatever way you can, is the best gift you can give.  For many years during the holidays I was in charge of an Angel Tree Program, at a shopping mall I managed.  While it was heartbreaking to see all of the children in need, it was even more heartwarming to see the generosity of the community that always surpassed in giving what was needed.
Christmas time is the perfect time a year to reach out and give to others.
To me Christmas time is also about family and friends near and far away.  It is not always possible to see everyone during the holidays so I like to at least reach out with a card and for the past few years I have made it a point to created one of a kind Christmas Cards for everyone on my list along with a handwritten note just for them.  In this day of emails, internet and social media, it is rare to receive mail any more and I find that sometimes just that hand written note can mean so much.  While I do not receive as many cards as I used, I do save every one of the them, I have even used some of them to decorate the tree or a frame during the holidays.   And a few years ago I shared an idea on how to display those Christmas Cards to enjoy them during the holiday season.

You can find the directions Here. My stamps and inks with Clearsnap can be seen Here And Unity Stamps Here.
I feel so am blessed to have all of my kids (and grandkids) coming home for Christmas this year.  I have 5 grown children,  6 grandchildren (that range in age from 2 - 6) and two more on the way next year.  I hope all of you have a very Merry Christmas and wonderful New Year!!

Share Some Love Giveaway

"It's not how much we give, but how much love we put into giving.”

-Mother Teresa

HAPPY DECEMBER!

I love this quote from Mother Teresa because it speaks volumes to my heart. Love can make such a difference to a person. And the act of giving a hand made card or gift with love can be life changing. It really can. That wonderful act of random kindness can make a person feel loved and cherished. It can make their mood change and help them face whatever they might be facing in their world right now.

So thank-you for helping us to Craft UP Love and spread some LOVE thisChristmas time!! You ROCK!

Time for another give away!

Let It Snow

Hello friends. It is the season for giving. I love making cards year round and sending them to my family and friends. This time of year is my favorite. I have a passion for Christmas cards. I guess you can say it is my favorite holiday.
Today I am using this absolutely fun little snowman.

This is "One of a Kind Winter"

I stamped the image on a piece of watercolor paper using Versafine Onyx Black Ink. I then used my Sakura Koi watercolors to color the image. I used a couple different shades of blue and gray for the background and then just a red and green for the hat and scarf.

I did add some glitter with a glitter pen to his hat and scarf you just can't tell from the picture.

I have already started making some tags for some homemade baking goods and I plan on using this stamp as well. I just love him.

I hope you enjoy your week. Have a wonderful rest of your day.

Larissa
