Easter Tags

Hello and welcome to my last post for the Susan K Weckesser Design Team term 2015/2016. 

This team has been a pleasure to be on and the other design team members a joy to have worked alongside of.

Today I would like to share my bunny tags I will be using with my easter surprises for my six year old daughter.

I used the bunny hugs stamps from Susan K Weckesser stamp line and I colored them with Prismacolor colored pencils and then I blended the colors with a bit of vegetable oil and a paint brush. This method took a lot of the pencil strokes out of my images leaving a smooth blended color. 

I love the result.    

Paper piecing and fussy cutting is very therapeutic for me. 

I did not color the mushroom or what looks like a popsicle but reminds me of a plant

we have here on the West Coast (horsetail). 

Instead I cut paper from the paper line and glued them onto them. I also used the paper line to create a banner for my tags. 

I really enjoyed creating these tags for my daughter whom I know will love them. I am planning on putting these tags on baskets of goodies.

Positive Affirmation Note To Self

Hello! Happy Wednesday Crafters! Peggy here to show you my "Note To Self" card that I will be giving to a special friend who is battling pancreatic cancer right now. I thought a little note to sit on her desk is exactly what she could use right now and of course that will be sent with some nice chocolate yummies.. 

I started with a card base of heavy cardstock. 

Next I sprayed my background with orange, blue and pink. 

Then I added some dimension with stenciling using paints. 

I stamped my images in stazon ink and I painted the images and fussy cut them out. 

I recycled some acetate from packaging and stamped my "Strong" on the top of the acetate everything else is underneath. 

I glued the rest of the stamped images I had cut with liquid glue.

Friendship Card

Hello! Welcome Peggy here to show you my friendship card made exclusively with Susan K Weckesser paper line. I chose my background paper and cut it to the size of my cardbase. 

I used punches to make a lattice fence, butterfly and decorations for the house. I only needed two sheets of Susan's paper line as this fabulous paper is double sided.  I also accented with crystal lacquer and stickles.  I cut clouds and used a punch for the flower used as a sun.

Smootches for Valentine's

I layered my papers to fit a card base and taped them down with double sided tape.

Amazingly Loving Tags

 Happy Monday! Peggy here to show you my tags made with Susan K Weckesser stamps. 

I love teal....  Susan's stamps are so cute and can be used in so many different ways.  I made some tags with background stamps and ephemera paper (thank you Lynne Mizera)   Grin.. 

I used Journal Doodles with a Heart stamps set and Love Ya Whole Bunches and Live Love Create paper. I stamped my images with Memento Black Ink to ensure they wouldn't smudge when coloring with alcohol markers. I cut out all images and mounted them on my background tags using foam dots and double sided tape. 

 Metal embellishments, Wooden embellies, Inks and Stamps. What more could a girl want. 

Tags are so much fun and inspirational. I love to hang them on my walls but usually give them away.

Tags of Love Doodles

 Hello everyone! I am back with more self love that I am planning on sharing with these bright tags made with Susan K Weckesser Stamps Journal Doodles with a Heart Set.

I started with my background on my tags regular shipping tags. I chose two different mediums.
Gelato's and Ink Sprays. The top tag has sprays for the background color and the bottom tag is colored with gelato's and water. I stamped my images with Versamark Ink and sprinkled on some white embossing powder and heat to set.

 I added lots of embellishments and backed up the tags with strong cardstock. I adhered all embellishments with crystal lacquer.

I love it!

Christmas tags of Peace and Joy

Hello, Peggy here and welcome to my tags of peace and joy. 

today's supplies used are: 

Susan K Weckesser Stamps World Of Christmas
Memento Black Ink

Cardstock 

Tombow/Copic Markers

Embellishments
Twine/String
seam binding

Embossing tools and supplies

I stamped both tag World of Christmas stamps onto white cardstock with memento black ink. Next I colored each tag with markers. I stamped JOY and Peace also from the same set and embossed JOY in gold and adhered down to some seam binding.

I added texture with embellishments using art ingredients bronze micro beads and beaded trim. I also used beads as a trim on her collar. 

Here is the next stamp in this collection (World of Christmas). I colored the tag with my tombow and copic markers and added the Merry Christmas sentiment from the same set and cut it out. I happen to have a small flower piece of left over G45 paper I added to the top of the tag.

Journal fun with Susan K Weckesser Stamps and Stencil

 Howdy! Peggy here, to show you my art journal page using Susan K Weckesser stamps and stencil.

Today I used "Journal doodles with a Heart" Stamps and I love them! there are 20 stamps in this package to help you journal. From flowers to leaves and sentiments too!  I also love that they come in a zip lock back for storage. This package has quality red rubber stamps that can be cling mounted.

The supplies used today are:

Spectrum Noir Markers
Gelly Roll Pens
Distress Inks

I used Lindy's sprays for the background and let it dry naturally.
Next I started with a fabulous stencil. I used Black distress inks with the stencil and made a border around my page.  I decided to make my own focal image and since my backyard on the ocean was full of salmon coming to spawn in the creek beside my house. I drew a salmon and doodled to my heart's content. I colored with spectrum noir markers and glued it down with glue.

 I stamped all over my page with "Journal Doodles with a Heart" stamps. I hope you enjoy my results! My doodles around my focal fish say "In my backyard Salmon are a plenty. My backyard where the bears come to eat the salmon and berries." and below reads Where The Rainforest Meets the Sea.
