Once Upon a Time….

Once upon a time in a far away land, okay, not that far. Rather, in a land called, Lynden, Ontario… & then in a land called Leduc, Alberta, there lived a under-tall, but rather 'cute' girl….Hee,hee.. We will call her 'Sarah' for the sake of her 'privacy'.Hmm… Sarah's family consisted of a proper British Mum, a crazy & loving Ukrainian Dad, and younger TWIN brothers that got into everything…ALL THE TIME.

Now, Sarah loved her family dearly, especially her Dad because wherever they lived ….. MAGIC followed!

It didn't didn't matter if the house was BIG or SMALL……. Sarah ALWAYS knew that the house was full of LOVE, LAUGHTER, FREINDSHIP…….. and the odd animal!!!

Yup, when it was stormy, Sarah's Dad would bring the animals inside to tuck her in! How cool is that!!!

Her dad also taught her to ALWAYS {

BELIEVE}

in [MAGIC]!

To never stop DREAMING!

Helmar's Red, White, & Blue Blog Hop

Guess What!?! This is Helmar's Red, White and Blue blog hop!!! Super cool!

To make these little flowers I punched out rounds of lined paper and used Helmar's Decoupage to seal them together. I then punched a hole in them and put them together with flowers and brads. So cute and easy.The flowers are wonderful to use for decorating a wreath or to use on cards or layouts!

Summer Fun with Epiphany Crafts & Helmar

It is so nice to have the sunshine out after a few weeks of rain. This week is the Epiphany Crafts week over at Helmar, so I decided it is a wonderful time to make a summer necklace to celebrate the WONDERFUL weather! I used some of my 'Live in Color' paper line with it.

Paper Piecing with a POP

I LOVE to cut out pieces of beautiful scrapbook paper and arrange them into whimsical and fun pictures and embellishments. I often will even use the pictures that I create in my children's stories as illustrations. I really find it so relaxing to create paper piecings….PLUS, it is such an AWESOME way to use up scrap pieces of paper that you may have around your home!

-}TAKE A LOOk{- * It really is easy to create embellishments to fancy up a scrapbooking layout or a card.

On this layout, I cut out some scraps of Basic Grey paper inked the edges with ClearSnap Color Box archival dye, and then used some of Helmar 's ZAPDOTS to make it really POP!

Here are a couple more examples of my creative paper piecings.

Sometimes I use scissors but, I mostly rip & tear my paper to get the look that I am trying to achieve.
