Art Cards by Shilpa

Hello Everyone,
Shilpa here,
I am back with my another mixed media creation.
I would like to share with you fun Art Cards, today.

These art cards are easy to make and very satisfying when you have little time for creative work.

Lets see the process of making:

I made two cards. For the base I cut out 3 3/4" * 4 3/4" paper from Bouquet Paper.
On one card, I adhered pink washi tape and on another Green one.
Applied gesso with palette knife, randomly on the surface.
And Created texture with stencil and modelling paste.

I stamped flowers with black archival ink. I've used Pink and Green Neon Inks from Hero Arts to bring the color on these cards. I also used gold acrylic paint for more interest.

I stamped one of the leaf branch from Susan's " What's up Gnomey" set. Fussy cut it. Colored it more with watercolors and gold acrylic paint.
To create interest, I created layers of torn issue paper, text paper, gold flowers on the background, and placed my lovely leaf on it.

Here are individual card photos.

Hope you liked all my creations with Susan's lovely stamps, stencil and design papers.
This is my last post here and I would like to say Thank you so much to Susan, Peggy and all my team mates for your support and love!
Thank you readers for your kind comments and love for my work.

Arise- Journal page by Shilpa

Hello Everyone,

We are celebrating mixed media month so all designers are presenting their exceptional mixed media creativity.

I love my art journal play and today I would like to share one page which I created with Susan's stamps, stencil, papers and other mediums.

I've used Susan Weckesser designed "Fly Away" stamp set and Doodle stencil.

I started off with adhering washi tapes on the page. To prime the surface I applied coat of gesso. Next I created texture with 3D mat medium and stencil, randomly on the surface.

When texture paste dried, I used acrylic colors and my fingers to get this look. :-)

Next layer was with Susan's Doodle stencil and black acrylic paint.

For more texture, I stamped mini dots from Susan's Grunge Fun and coffee archival ink.
Further, I stamped clouds and sun on the design paper and cut it to add on the page as a focal point.
When I added quote, my page was complete.

Hope you liked my page and got inspired.
Thanks so much for stopping by, see you in two weeks!

#BFF Tag by Shilpa

Hello Everyone,

The Design team at Susan's blog here are sharing quick tags during January.
And I would like to share a tag made with Susan's "Love ya bunches stamp set."

For making this mixed media background

I cut out a tag from Susan's "Live in color" paper. Applied clear gesso on it. And I created hearts texture with stencil and texture paste.

Next, I spritzed Color Box Glacier lake spritzer randomly on the surface, also applied barn door distress paint. I dried the tag with my heat tool. For more texture I stamped hearts with barn door distress ink, and more grunge with grunge stamp and blue archival ink, I have also used stencil designed by Susan to print numbers from it.

I stamped the girl and bird with black archival ink and colored them with watercolor markers. I added few embellishments and my tag was ready.
Hope you are inspired and would like to try this easy peasy tag.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
