  1. You have got to be one of the most generous women I have met...although not officially yet...but I plan on it! I love to attend crops and dream of attending some scrapbooking events in the future...I love to crop together with like minded people...always makes for good times!
    Thanks for the great opportunity!
    Have a fabulous day!

  2. Well, one of these days, I hope to attend a crop to catch up with you Susan! Relive some memories from university... What I have liked most about my other crops I have attended or hosted, is the flow of creativity that seems to occur. My own creative process seems to awaken when in the presence of others who are also using and sharing their creative ideas. On another topic, congrats again on your stamps. They are stunning. It still tickles me that I can say "hey I used to share an appartment with that Susan" whenever I see your name in print or your projects in a msgazine, or now all your products! Hugs Susan and Congrats again!

  3. We got home from Scrapfest today and we had a wonderful time as always. I love to go to this to see all the new products, learn some new techniques, do the make-and-takes, visit with friends and especially to make new friends. That's how I met you Susan! And of course there is the shopping!!!! I had fun asking why you weren't there at the Canadian Scrapbooker booth like you asked!*L* Your products are so yummy and I'm thrilled to be given the chance to win them. Thanks!

  4. I love scrapbooking eventslike crop unfortunatley it has been some time since I have went to one- apparently life (my 2 boys) is getting in the way of this and we are just getting into our busy sporty season! Oh well I guess without them I would have a lot less to scrapbook! :( I do still scrap in the evening after they are in bed but I think it is time for this Mommy to have a girls weekend!

  8. Hi Susan. I love going to crops because it´s such a thrill to gaze in at others scrapbookers-process. But mainly it´s because when I am at a crop, the girls I go with and I have soooo much fun. We literally laugh so hard our stomachs hurt and or we start to cry. I am forever grateful that I have become a part of this sub-culture and try to grab every opportunity to create, laugh and just enjoy this part of my life... Thanks for this opportunity to reflect on this subject and for reminding me of how grateful I really am..

  15. Unfortunately, due to where I live, I missed out on attendign a lot of crops; however, I love being introduced to new companies and products. I browse the Internet and when travelling, I try to stop in to a scrapbooking store.Once a year, me and a group of my friends travel to Montreal for a big crop day on National Scrapbooking Day. It is a great time to spend together doing what we love.

  20. I absolutely adore the idea of going to craft events, scraps, but unfortunately, with a lot of little ones here at home, don't get the opportunity to. I do love to get some of my friends together to craft together though. I guess that is better than nothing, right? I adore Unity Stamps and your line is amazing. 22. I've never been to a crop or scrapbooking event. I have been to some small gatherings of a few friends and have really enjoyed those. Now that my children are older, I may have more opportunities to get out to some of the events in my area.

  25. Dear Susan - I LOVE Crops - but I don't call them crops .. I call them LOVE-FESTS because I get enough scrappy girl love from everyone to last me until the next one! My table-mates complain that they NEVER see me because I'm never at my seat and I usually get NOTHING done, but I vist and talk and get ideas and pass on ideas and lend stuff and buy stuff and help people and EVERYONE seems to know who I am and I just LOVE That! PS: I loved your "doodle" class in Red Deer and I can't wait for the next opportunity to take a Susan Weckesser Class!

  32. I like going to scrapbooking events and classes because it reminds me of all the awesome techniques out there. I like to see trends (like those dress forms, sewing and retro right now) and to see how products are evolving and getting better and better. I love to see how people combine the same elements in so many ways. Keep on blogging!

  33. I just went to my first crop. It was just a place to make stuff. Nothing else was going on (except they had some snacks out). I would have liked it a lot better if the lady behind me hadn't talked incessantly about her 5 kids. 9 hours of hearing about her kids NON-STOP! So maybe I should go to another to see if I like it. I'd like to go to one that's more like a class. I did make some cute things, so it was worth it. Oh, I'd love love love to win Grandma's Needlepoint! It would make my month!
