"Selfies" - Mother & Daughter layout & Helmar
My daughter and I were having fun taking 'Selfies' (quickie self-portraits), and I knew that Susan's lively papers would be perfect. I die-cut a few 'polaroid frames' from the papers, and paired them up with some of Susan's stamps (all the stamps on this page are from the "Insta-cute" set.)
I popped up this sentiment stamp using Helmar Zap Dots. All the embellishments were glued down with Helmar 450 Quick Dry. (I used Helmar Acid Free for all the photos and papers).
I added one of the phrase stamps right on the 'polaroid frame':
Want a perfectly matched embellishment for your page? Try stamping on the patterned paper! Cut it out and pop it up with a Zap Dot, and you're all set. (And how cute is that camera stamp?!)
Thanks for visiting!

abc washi.
I wanted to do simple. I wanted to make it pop. So...here is what I came up with using Susan's abc washi stamp set. (Love this simple little set, big possibilities!)
I first created a white card base, rounding the bottom corner. I then inked up the big abc stamp, then took a baby wipe and wiped the black off the I, heart and you. I then colored those in with a red Tim Holtz Distress Marker and stamped it onto the card base. Next, I stamped the black and red washi strips and fussy cut those, adhering them to the card with dimensionals. Added some bling and ...there you have it. A fun little Valentine card.
Thanks for stopping by today! xoxo

It's A Small World- Projects by Erika Taylor
Hello everyone and HAPPY WEDNESDAY!!! Erika Taylor here today. It has been a while since I've been present in the crafting community and I'm so excited to be back. After taking a hiatus for 3 months, I am back in the saddle and here to share with you two projects I've created using the whimsical papers by Susan K Weckesser "Live In Color". These happy papers were exactly what I needed to get my creative mojo back up and running.
I used a combination of the entire line to create this layout and paired them up with two Susan K Weckesser stamp sets from Unity Stamp Company. I love the hearts in the A Little Grunge Love set. There are 2 sizes and they are super fun to work with.I also used the heart washi stamp in A Little Bit Washi paired with some tissue paper to create my own tape. Let's take a look shall we?
The flowers on the papers reminded me pf the flowers in the It's A Small World ride at Disney World, so off I went to print out a few from our trip we took at Christmas time. Perfect matches I think. Isn't that little birdie in the corner precious!!!
I used a combination of Peridot, Vintage and Denim Mix'd Media inks from Clearsnap, to create the hearts. A little Matte Clear embossing powder from Wow to give them some texture and voila!!!
Love how the layout turned out. I was scared to create again after such a long break and although I feel like a rookie again, I sure am enjoying the process.
I also created a quick card for you today as a bonus. A combination of greens and pinks on this one and a metal butterfly from Momenta. I thought the sentiment was perfect for my "return" into the industry. It's been a while, but remember when...
Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today and leaving your comments. We always like to hear your thoughts on things and today I could really use a thought or two shared. Until next time

Bits and Bobbs....
Here is a picture of those items.
I wanted to use the Susan K Weckesser stamp..... It is a cute little girl that stamps so crisp....and the little stamp "Bless this Nest" is so adorable.
I have been wanting to use this fabric flower for a while now, I bought it in many colours!
I layered all the elements that I had pulled together gluing them onto the flower. As well I tucked tags in and the pins in the ruffles of the flower. If anyone of you live in Canada, you will recognize the Eaton's name, these are vintage tags I found that used to be used to put the prices on the items in the store. This is what it ended up looking like.
Thanks again for letting me share with you my creations that are made with Susan K Weckesser products, can't wait to make something again and share. See you in a few weeks. Enjoy your week and all the great CHA products coming out!
Hugs, Jennifer

Designer Chat with Sue Sykes & Final Christmas Love Campaign Giveaway
Growing up, I couldn't think about Christmas without considering love. Being Catholic, Christmas is about spreading the joyous news and celebrating Jesus' birth. Being Italian also meant that the holidays were filled with family and friends, with seemingly endless celebrations. My mother would always organize our extended family and plan for a large gathering, usually in our home. It was important for her to keep her family close, and she instilled that desire into both my sisters and I.Since her passing on December 23, 2004, Christmas has been a bittersweet occasion. We continue to celebrate, but honour her memory as well. I think one of the best ways to honour her spirit and giving nature is to embrace the very essence of Christmas – Love and Charity. Remembering those who are less fortunate. Helping those that have lost their way. Creating art to make tired souls sing. Providing a smile for those who cry. This year, our family is participating in the 26 Acts of Kindness, that was inspired by Ann Curry's tweet from Dec 16, following the Newtown, CT massacre. But we are taking it one step forward and will be extending this throughout the year, past the Christmas season. It may be something as small as buying coffee for a homeless person on the street, or sending cards to troops overseas, or as lavish as paying and electric bill for a family in need.Because that's really what Christmas is all about.Wishing you a happy, healthy, giving 2013!Thank-you SO much Sue for sharing….It really means so much! You ROCK girl!!!! And thanks to all my special designers and crafters who have stopped by and shared for Designer Chat!
A JAMMED PACKED GOODIE BOX full of wonderful stuff from wonderful Christmas Love Campaign sponsors………
