True Scrap 3 Registration Begins …Come join me!

Ok, I admit…… registration officially begins in one hour: MARCH 1, 2012, but I was SO EXCITED that I pushed that publish button early. Who can blame me!?

I am so excited because registration for True Scrap 3 begins and I am so excited  because it is going to be amazing!!! It is like a dream come true to be teaching along side these amazing women and I hope you come and join in!

My Crop-A-Ganza Adventure…

The class that I taught in Red Deer Alberta was a RIOT!!! I am SO GRATEFUL for these ladies because they truly were a LOT of FUN!!!

                           

         CHOCOLATE FOR FUEL TO GET CREATIVE!

                               

  We entered the WORLD OF COLOR and the fun of DOODLING!

By taking my 'Live in Color' paper line and Kuretake pens such as ZIG Art & Graphic Twin & Memory Writers we explored how color, art, and doodling makes us feel.

  At one point, I asked everyone to get out the paper called 'Beautiful Daydreams', and then using the art pens we spent a moment doodling and drawing how we felt at that moment to create own piece of art. It was so AMAZING to see how everyone took the same piece of paper, opened their hearts up, and let the colors and art flow!

And, Of course… I had to let everyone play with some of my new stamps that I co-branded with Unity!

There were a lot of laughs!!!!

       Everyone was treated like Princesses! This was on my bed when I got to my hotel room.

Did I mention that I acted,err… we acted silly? It was WONDERFUL!!!

A Watercolor Valentine From Me to You…

I am feeling LOVE in the air so I got out my fantastic new watercolours from Kuretake and some Rhonna Designs and sat down to create a Valentines Cards for my hubbie.

This is the original painting that I painted using Kuretakes Metallic water colors. They are such  WONDERFUL paints. I hadn't used them before, and I do a lot of watercolor painting and I can honestly say that I FELL in love with the quality and they wonderful shimmer of the paint.

Take a look at some of the pictures that I took of my painting. I loved shooting on a macro setting while taking pictures of it just to get the awesome glimmer & color!

                      

Then I took it a step further…

I scanned my watercolor into my computer. I them used my Adobe Photoshop CS5 program to alter & posturize my painting.

I then printed out a copy. I also printed out one of Rhonna Farrer's Wonderful digital postcard designs.

I them had fun combining cutting and gluing and making a fun whimsical Valentine's Card!

My Trip to Anaheim for CHA 2012

 I am home from Anaheim and the winter CHA show. It has just taken me a few days to rest up, unpack and clean up my studio. WOW! What a mess…but, that is another story!

I had a wonderful time in Anaheim.The week went by super fast because this time I was doing demonstrations , classes, and had quite a few meetings.

I was thrilled when I got to the show and I got to meet Angela, the owner of Unity Stamps.Angela gave me my new stamps that I have created and co-branded with her company. It was so wonderful to actually hold the finished product.

There were some many friends that I met up with or got to meet, but I never thought to take my camera out. I know… I can't believe it either!

I stopped by and chatted to Heidi Swapp for a bit. She is so lovely and I loved her new product line! Beautiful !

 

 

 

     I had fun doing the Live Show with  Charity Wings at the Fancy Pants booth! Elana Etcheverry does great work with Charity Wings and I really appreciated everything that Fancy Pants did for the Live Show! To find out more you can go HERE.

Some of my work at the Designer showcase.

{I did this mixed media self portrait canvas to remind myself that dreams do come true…if you believe and if you have faith.}

  I also was one of the designers that took part of Westcott's remix contest! It was so much fun! What a wonderful company!

 

 

 

I was beyond words when these two wonderful designers, Cheryl Boglioli & Erika Taylor approached me separately during the show to tell me that they had used my paper line, 'Live in Color' to create something kind of cool.

 

Cheryl used some of my paper on her business cards. Super neat idea! 

                                   

Erika created a beautiful card using my paper & Suzy West's new embossing powder~WOW. It was on display at the booth & looked wonderful!

 

 

Oh, and for the record, yes…. I did have pink hair for the show!

Gotta be CREATIVE!

 

When I find my memory card…. I shall post more pictures. I had a wonderful time and now my head is full all kinds of great creative and colorful images. Oh, like the PANTONE class I took… but that is another post!
